Since 2017
I had made all my money online via organic content.
I amassed over 3000 followers from all over the world in my first blog.
Then I moved to blogging on my WhatsApp status in late 2018
And I have grown my WhatsApp contacts from 150 to over 7800 people currently.
I get around 900 -1300 status views daily,
This has helped me earn a lot of money from gigs, consulting, and digital products.
I even created a now-discounted course on how to make money from WhatsApp.
And through the same strategies, I have been able to grow this newsletter to over 4550 subscribers.
I have never run any Ads to achieve any of this.
Some of the people that I learned from didn’t believe much in Ads so it kind of just rubbed off on me.
I believed that organic was the best way to go.
The closest thing that I had to running Ads was the affiliate program that I designed in 2022.
It was very effective and helped me bring in a lot of sales.
I share 45% of the sale profit with Affiliates so I believe that also encouraged a lot of people,
As of today I have 51 affiliates helping me drive sales.
Affiliate marketing helped me see the power of depending on other channels to drive sales and how it can create a win-win scenario.
Slowly, I started seeing the value of Ads and how powerful they are when done right.
I started a new community recently and as usual, I went down the organic route of marketing it.
I did social media posts and even ran webinars.
And with time, I almost maxed out the number of people who could join via my community.
Since the community required a higher level of commitment to join, I was only able to get a few people from my existing community.
So I knew it was time to scale things up.
I bought a Facebook Ads course and it was very insightful, I tested some of the strategies and ran my first Ad in May.
It wasn’t wildly successful, but I counted it as a win because I had broken my anti-ad mentality.
I reached out to a friend who ran Ads regularly and he reviewed my setup and showed me the things that I got wrong.
The call was like a revelation to me and I experienced the importance of gaining mastery in anything that you are doing.
So this is the first way that this new project is helping me, I am finally going down the road of running Facebook Ads
The Power Of Focus
Focus is something that I have written about a lot in this newsletter.
And no matter how focused you are, when you do a review, you will see that you are not as focused as you think you are.
Last two months, I went to my idea bank and deleted up to seven pending projects that I had documented there.
I was not working on these projects yet, but they still consumed my brainpower because when I was working on something else my brain kept giving me ideas on what I could add to the pending projects.
Now, I am not saying that you should go and delete your idea bank.
I am just sharing what worked for me.
And there is something Myles Monroe said about an idea whose time has come.
It would keep haunting you until you give in.
So this is also an exercise for me in gauging the quality of those ideas that I have written down.
If they are great ideas, they will come back to me.
And no, I am not concerned that someone else will work on them.
One thing that I have learned is that the most dangerous thing to build is something that you are a pioneer in.
The more people you have building a particular idea, the more proof that there is demand for it.
What you need to find on your part is your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
But I am not an authority on ideas, this approach works for mine, so determine what works for yours and stick to it.
So the second way this new project is helping, my focus game is even better.
Learning Skills In an AI World
If you scroll through the internet these days.
It won’t be long before you see another post talking about AI.
Some talk about the jobs that AI would replace and that is true, every new tech replaces someone’s job.
And please don’t fall for that ideology that AI is your assistant,
It doesn’t apply to all skills/Jobs.
You need to start creating a strategy now, to start building skillsets that AI cannot replace.
It took around 28 years for the demand for cars to surpass horses.
But you can see from the chart that the downward trend for horses started before then.
There was a whole industry of jobs that supported the horse transportation industry.
Horse breeders, Horse Vets, Horse groomers, blacksmiths that made horseshoes, etc
All of them faced a massive wipeout.
The internet did its own in the late 1990s to early 2000s, now is the turn of AI.
One of the reasons why I am very passionate about this new project is because it is posing me to become better at a skill that AI can never replace.
And that is Sales and Marketing
The AI trend is even elevating this market making it easier for newbies to become more successful.
AI has helped Facebook greatly improve its Ad engine, so now all you have to do is focus on getting your creatives right.
SEO is now getting more programmatic, ensuring better and faster returns.
AI might now replace you at your job, but someone using AI might.
The Path Forward
I will keep building my community and sharpening my sales and marketing skills.

It will go a long way in helping me.
Thank you
Its Nice to hear that erasing “ Projects “ on one’s project files is essential!
What’s work for me is Identifying “ What Connects “ more like which project is a stepping stone to another,
Just like Complimentary skill
If that’s a word like that,
Than Stack them sequentially, making the one, that fit appropriately impossible, if I haven’t finished the other/done with the one before.
