On The Future: Day One, Chasing Jeff Bezos, Builder's Digest and More.
It's all Systems and Structures From Here
On May 25th 1961.
President John F. Kennedy made a daring announcement before the United States Joint Congress.
He cast the vision of getting an American to the Moon and bringing him back safely before the end of that decade.
There were few systems and structures to make that goal a reality within 10 years, so everyone knew it would take intense work.
Many believed that it was not possible.
However, on July 20th 1969, Apollo 11 Commander Neil Armstrong stepped off the Lunar Module ladder and made that statement that has now become a famous quote.
One small step for man, a giant leap for mankind.
Apart from the Apollo projects, there are other projects like the Gemini and Mercury projects that were built around truly audacious goals.
Yesterday, I had a talk with a young man who confessed to me his doubts and fear about what he was building.
I got him to understand one thing.
We all have just one life, and it is important that we spend it building the things that we have recognized that we need to build.
Like many young people, his problem was that people around him did not understand the value of what he was building.
However, he confessed to me that the building process became easier when he connected with more people who understood his vision.
That is the same thing I would advise you to do.
At this point in your life, you should not be doubting yourself and what you carry.
What you should be doing is seeking environments (Online and Offline) that would help you incubate the vision that you are carrying.
Don’t allow unfocused people to derail you from your goals.
Misery loves company and as Myles Monroe said :
Those doing nothing want others to be just like them.
It gives them a sense of assurance that they are not the only ones stagnant.
Run from such people, because they would always poke holes into your vision and make it seem unachievable.
In my last newsletter, I gave a sneak peek into what I was building and also made some announcements about some upcoming programs.
Another thing I did in that episode was to give a timeline of how my personal brand has evolved over the years.
I also expressed my feelings that I am entering a new era of my personal brand.
I wasn’t really sure then, but I am now.
Several things that happened last week gave me assurance about this.
I am going to talk more about them and my plans for the future and you.
Chasing Jeff Bezos is LIVE
Can the Eagle Soar?
I launched Chasing Jeff Bezos over the weekend.
It is the biggest thing that I have ever launched and would set the pace for the future of my personal and even business brand.
It was born of my lifelong obsession with Jeff Bezos and the principles and systems that made him who he is today.
While you may believe that I may never catch him.
I will be building daily to make that happen.
The beautiful thing is that I am not going on that journey alone.
I have chosen to give my playbook and secrets to those who want to go on the journey with me.
If you missed the announcement post you can read it here: Chasing Jeff Bezos
The program is not free but it is heavily discounted for Early birds.
It is also not for everyone, so read the article and know if you are a good fit.
The discount price expires by Midnight today (11:59 pm Monday).
If you want to have insights on the kind of achievements we would be gunning for in chasing Jeff Bezos: Check out this page.
On Day One
Day One is the holding brand for my personal brand.
And if you are a Bezos fan like me you would know the origin of that name.
It is always Day One
The ideology behind this quote is understanding the importance of process and playing long term games with long term people.
All great things in life come from compound Interest and playing the long term game.
Shortcuts look appealing, but you can never build something remarkable and long-lasting by playing the short term game.
So move with the ideology that it is always Day One, it births the best decision and structures.
The moment you believe that it is Day Two.
Stagnation, decay and a fall of standards sets in.
Currently, I have the Day One Newsletter, the Day One DAO, and also Day One Publishing.
With Chasing Jeff Bezos you would see the creation of more amazing Day One extensions.
Including the ones that I would build and own together with some of Chasing Jeff Bezos members.
The future is exciting.
The Builders Digest is Here
Every Monday I would be publishing a Free Newsletter called the Builder’s Digest right here on Substack.
Today’s Newsletter is technically the first episode.
In Builder’s Digest, I would be sharing links to valuable things I discovered on my journey of building.
This includes tools, resources, online programs and all kinds of things that can help you grow in one way or the other.
Though I would advise you to join Chasing Jeff Bezos to get access to more premium resources and even detailed guides on how to leverage them properly for growth.
Today let me give you a tip on the kind of things to expect from Builder’s Digest.
Let’s talk about Sweatcoin.
Introducing Sweatcoin
If you follow My WhatsApp Status, you will know that I talk about the Importance of exercise from time to time.
I have discovered a project called Sweatcoin that has built an app that helps you earn from walking.
It is that simple. Install the App and create your profile.
As you walk around daily it counts your steps and credits coins to your wallet.
Currently, accumulated coins can be used to buy things like clothes and gadgets within the app.
They would also be launching their SWEAT crypto this summer, all coins that you have accumulated would be exchanged for the crypto (this will happen only once)
You can now exchange the Crypto and cash it out if you want or use it for in-app purchases or just save it.
It doesn’t take much work, just install the app and leave it running and you would accumulate the coins as you go about your daily activities.
Install the App Now with my Invite link 👉🏽 : Walk and Earn
So, what was your biggest takeaway from today’s episode?
What upcoming development excites you the most?
I would love to hear from you in the comment section below.
I've actually heard about the walk and earn, never thought it was really , sounds like kinda ponzi, but I'm on it, nice tool ,ajulu boss
There are many lessons to pick from here. But the story of the young man who is building in an environment where his value is not appreciated really resonate with me. I am currently experiencing something like that too. I will adopt the solution you taught moving forward.
Thanks for also sharing that sweatcoin update. I have heard of walk to earn games before. But this is like the first time I’m hearing of a free one.
