I was invited to speak at a crypto event some months back.
As I was leaving, a young man approached me and thanked me for my session.

It felt so good to hear and after sharing his new plans with me.
I knew that he would do well in the crypto space.
There are millions of people like him out there,
Who has earned significantly from Crypto Airdrops.
But that doesn’t mean they understand everything about Airdrops.
Some have gone on to participate in other Airdrops that are a waste of time.
That’s why I am writing this guide.
But before you proceeded to read.
Here are some guidelines for getting the best of this guide on your first read.

The Right Mentality about Airdrops
So what are Airdrops?
There are many perceptions about what crypto airdrops are.
Some see it as free money.
Others see it as a reward system
Or a way to distribute tokens.
But all this focus on benefits without answering the question.
Why do Crypto Airdrops exist?
Here is the answer.
Crypto Airdrops help crypto projects avoid certain limitations.
These limitations are present in governmental and financial systems.
I always explain it by using the Internet revolution.
Before the internet came around,
It was only publishing houses that could control the flow of information.
But today, thanks to the internet.
Everyone is now a publisher.
You don't need to start a magazine or a Newspaper company to publish content.
All you need is a smartphone and internet connection.
The government fought the internet in the early days.
Even today, some countries limit internet access for citizens.
Crypto is doing for money, what the internet did for information.
But there is a massive fight currently ongoing globally against crypto.
Crypto companies are not allowed to run Ads on Google and Facebook.
So the resources meant for marketing are now channeled towards Airdrops.
So if you help these companies spread the word about their projects, you will get rewarded.
Some projects also use Airdrops as a distribution strategy,
Ensuring that their tokens are not concentrated in the hands of a few people.
The more widespread a token is, the greater its potential to rise in value.

How to Spot the Real Deals and Avoid the Fakes.
Some amazing crypto Airdrops have happened over the years.
The 400 UNI Airdrop by UNISWAP was worth $1200. The price of the token later rose to $44, making the Airdrop worth $17600
The ENS Airdrop netted participants tokens worth as much as $10,000.
There are other examples but let's move on.
Now that you have an idea of what Airdrops are all about.
Let’s learn how to spot the real deals and avoid the fakes.
The first thing that you need to understand is this.
Verify, don’t Trust.
Crypto is still the wild west and there are a lot of bad actors.
Let’s use the $DOGS project as an example.
We recently claimed their airdrops as a community of up to 7 Million tokens.
But if you go on Twitter to search for them, you will see lots of copy accounts.
Even verified ones.
The real $DOGS is the first one, but anyone who doesn’t know this can fall for the fake.
The fake account makes similar posts and even clones websites.
Clicking on any of their links can cause your wallet to be hacked and your profits stolen.
This is a big reason why I tell Sound Money Earn members to click only on the links that I post on the channel.
Also, it is better to ask questions in the community than on Twitter.
Because people impersonating as customer care agents can also scam you.
I have seen fake projects run Telegram Ads inside the channels of the project they are copying.
So be careful.
As a Newbie focus on only the links that I share.
Here are some red flags to watch out for:
Requests for private keys or seed phrases 🔑
Promises of unrealistic returns 💰
Urgency or pressure to act quickly ⏰
Unsolicited DMs or emails about airdrops
Your private keys are those 12/24 words that you get when creating a wallet.
Make sure to keep it safe.
Make an online copy mailing it to your second email address.
Never share it with anyone for any reason.
Inasmuch as Airdrops can give big returns,
Be wary of projects that promise big returns
Also, some even do fake promotions as seen in the image below.
They will always want to force you to act quickly.
Don’t fall for it.
If it sounds too good to be true, then it is too good to be true.
Ignore unsolicited DMs about Airdrops, block the sender, and delete their message.
The same applies to emails, use the block sender option.
The “Unsubscribe” link is always also a scam link.
if you need to verify anything;
✅ Check official project channels like Twitter, and Discord (I will always share this)
✅ Be wary of airdrops requiring large deposits for transaction fees.
✅ Block any fake account you come across on social media.

The task for this section is easy.

How To Position Properly for Telegram Airdrops.
The airdrop world is a noisy place.
Like everything of value, some projects try to take advantage of people.
That's part of why I chose to curate high-quality airdrops using our Earn board at Sound Money.
Airdrops have gone through various types of evolution over the past few years.
In the early days,
The criteria were small social media tasks.
You would then submit proof that you did those tasks plus your wallet address.
Once distribution starts, you then receive your airdrops.
This method was stressful and it was hard for you to keep track of the airdrops you are participating in.
But there have been a lot of changes in this current run.
The Mini-App for each project has different features that hold all the tokens that you claim.
Popular features include; Home, Games, Tasks, Referrals, and wallet.
The home page shows your wallet balance and other important info.
Some project launch games that reward you with more tokens depending on your score.
Tasks are social media-related.
Tasks like making posts or joining a group. (I advise you to exit those groups later and focus on the projects/communities I recommend).
Referrals help you earn by introducing more people to the project.
Wallets help you hold all the tokens that you claimed. You will also need to link an external wallet with time.
The greatest challenge that people have is managing their telegram properly.
They join a lot of unnecessary channels and with time, they get overwhelmed.
One of my favorite features of Telegram is its Stories reach.
So you stand a better chance of reaching more people via Telegram than WhatsApp.
People outside your contact list can view your Telegram stories.
And if you can afford to do so, subscribe to Telegram Premium.
Apart from the amazing features, some projects give more rewards to premium members.
Tasks
Pin the Sound Money Telegram to the Top of your Chats.
Set a daily alarm that will remind you to check in on your Airdrops at least once daily.
How To Earn Big From Airdrops
When it comes to Telegram Airdrops.
There are majorly four ways to earn ;
Referrals: You earn tokens from referrals, some projects give extra earnings based on the activity of the people you referred.
Tasks: You are given social media-related tasks to do or referred to other projects.
Games: most projects have an In-App game that you can use to score more points.
Daily Check-ins: most projects reward you for opening their Mini-App daily.
Referrals and tasks give me the most earnings followed by Daily Check-ins and Games.
You need to be very intentional about referrals and there is a hack that I shared with my community members on how to do it.
Instead of sending people links to Individual airdrops in hopes that they will partake.
Create a community of people who want to earn from crypto without investment and send a broadcast to your contacts to help you post it on their status.
Make sure that the message is short and personalized.

Your name has to be in the market message as personalization makes word of mouth powerful.
The message should be short enough to fit on one WhatsApp status.
You can copy what I am teaching in this email course and teach them so they get a basic understanding of how Airdrops work.
Lock the group to only allow admin messages, you can unlock it from time to time to take questions.
Also, warn them against sending/entertaining DMs.
You can also get new community members by answering questions people are asking on Twitter about Airdrops.
Focus on hot projects. The more you answer questions, the more people will check out your profile.
There are other strategies that you can use to grow your referral base.

I advise you to create a new Twitter account that is focused on Airdrops.
That way you can get all the benefits of social media without clogging up your profile.
Some tasks show up daily, so ensure you do them.
Games on the other hand are very easy to play, depending on the project.
You can maximize game rewards by playing whenever you can instead of scrolling mindlessly on social media.
If you have a teenager living with you.
Get them to play the game while you work or do other important activities.
