Hello friends, and welcome to Day One

Last Saturday
I wanted to publish the normal newsletter episode.
Then I realized that we were nearing the half of the year.
So for the first time this year, I laid back and didn’t publish anything
And decided to focus on the conference that I was attending (yeah, it was an excuse)
Over the weekend, I reflected on what I have done with the newsletter this year even though I am not 100% satisfied.
I am still deciding to celebrate my little wins.
My goal for this newsletter was to just show up every week and publish something that helps readers grow in one or more aspects of their lives.
I saw the writing process as a way to grow because writing for you guys forces me to read extensively to present value.
And I have gotten a lot of comments here and private messages to let me know that I am doing just that.
So let’s check the state of Day One for the First Half of the Year.
The Wins
I was able to publish 27 Newsletter episodes so far this year.
25 was educational/informational.
2 raised awareness for something I need people here to benefit from.
There are 52 weeks in a year so If I keep up this pace, I would be able to publish 52 episodes this year as planned.
One thing that I would love to improve is the subscriber open rate, it still hovers around 23%.
Most of my readers for each episode come from shares on social media
When I resumed writing the newsletter this year,
I had just 2,020 subscribers that I accumulated from my old Mailchimp list and a few episodes I published here over the past three years.
By writing here consistently, I have been able to garner over 2500 more subscribers.
You can see the huge jump from January 2024 on the chart.
My goal is to get 2500 more subscribers before the year ends
I was able to publish two books in the first half of the year.
It sounds great, but I am three books short and have a lot of catching up to do if I intend to hit my goal of 10 books this year.
The way I choose what topics to write on is to take the most-read newsletter episode for each month and expand it into a book the following month.
So these two published titles were the gotten from the most read newsletter episode of January and February.
Publishing these books has driven some significant growth for the newsletter and brought in over 1000 subscribers combined.
These books are free and can be downloaded by anyone who reads and shares this newsletter.
Top Picks
I have published a lot of episodes so far,
but I decided to pick the three that I believe absolutely everyone should read.
The themes for these episodes are built on something that we seek no matter what our goals are.
Better time management.
Earning more for our efforts.
Succeeding with Our Ideas
Here are the titles:
How to get 40 hours daily gives a fresh perspective on what time management truly entails.
In it, I talked about important things that determine how productive your day is that very few people pay attention to.
Inflation is a global phenomenon that is affecting the value of currencies globally,
But for the main time, earning in certain currencies offers more shelter than others and that’s why I wrote this next episode on earning foreign income.
But depending on what you offer, you might need to get a share of the local market (no matter how little) before setting your sights abroad.
We get ideas every day.
But one thing that we are not good at as humans is managing our ideas.
This last episode is where I dive into the things that make your ideas work.
There is also another article on the idea that I linked at the end that you should also read.
So technically, I am sharing four articles.
My Bookmarks
I read and watch widely, so I added some resources here that I believe you would find helpful.
Earlier this year, I told my subscribers who are writers to share some of their works so that I can read and share with the community.
The episode below gives a rundown of all the articles that were shared.
I recommend that you start with these three:
Addicted to Guilt by Leader Bill
Kings shall come to your rising by Chimfoun
The Standard Oil and John D Rockefeller Saga by Michael Ebiekutan
Bonus Videos
I spend a lot of time on YouTube daily watching videos.
And there are two videos that I have watched recently that have helped me a ton.
I highly recommend you watch them.
Spaceship You: this video by CGP Grey gives a fresh overview of what it takes to achieve premium physical and mental health.
17 Years Of Marketing Advice in 46 Minutes: this video by Sabry Suby has a marketing theme, but it also shows what it takes to build something that will last.
Current Projects
I have a lot of exciting projects that I am working on.
But I am only sharing Sound Money here because it was designed to help people in this community.
For years, I have always gotten the Question;
What can I do to earn an income while I learn a skill?
I have always shared what worked for me in my early days ( washing cars, selling petrol, etc)
However, I found out that the Forex Market offers an opportunity for anyone to earn while they learn through the use of Trading Signals.
So I set out to build the most premium trading community and I did.
Making it possible for members to earn from Forex without any trading knowledge.
And then I turned around to make it FREE because charging reduces the chances of helping more people as intend to.
You should use whatever funds you can gather as trading capital.
People in the community are making between $100 to $2500 + monthly(depending on their capital) using the system.
I will be holding the next onboarding webinar on the 13th of July.
